"A Fun Way to Learn Fast"; FirstBike - is a very Successful new German concept toy which allows children to Achieve Co-ordinated Balance and motion with ease and confidence. This Learning Tool aids the Development of Motor Co-ordination and Risk Assessment while allowing Enjoyment and Independence through Play.
A 'Radical Combination' of Technology and Simplicity provides a Brilliant Learning Tool for 2 to 6 year olds. Very light weight Polyurethane moulded frame offers the ultimate in durability and strength V's weight. High-impact 12" polypropylene wheels with pneumatic rubber knobby tyres for indoor and outdoor activities - (Solid rubber tyres are issued standard on the 'Street' model bike) A durable, High Quality Toy the FirstBike also comes with a tool-free seat height adjuster.
Differing from a childs bicycle, the FirstBike does not require training wheels. Feet touch the ground, propelling the rider forward. This Creates Security, while Developing Balance. Children can easily accompany adults for distances of several kilometres, on "journeys of discovery", both of their surroundings and themselves.
The machine is 100% outdoor suitable. Cleaning is simple with water or a little detergent, if needed. Indoors, there are no pedals or training wheels to damage furniture and walls. The sturdy rubber hand grips have large ends to prevent loss of grip and protects walls and doors. The cushioned saddle is tough, waterproof and comfortable.
The FirstBike has Concealed Steering Stops, to Protect both the Machine and the Rider. Both front and rear wheels have neat mudguards. With other safety features, FirstBike is an ideal way for children to gain Fitness and Mobility, while Learning to Exercise Judgement of Speed and Distance.
FirstBIKE is now equipped with SafetyStop, a rear drumbrake providing additional safety for the rider. From the age of about three, kids can take full advantage of SafetyStop and further develop the skills needed for future bike riding. Teflon cable housing with a custom designed "kids" lever makes the brake easy to operate even for a small child's hands.
Learning to ride the FirstBike takes only a few hours.

I've had this thing for a year now, my (now) 3 year old has been using it and it's just the best thing to teach kids balance, steering and confidence on a bike. He's about to get a bike with pedals and I'm sure he'll just step on a ride without training wheels.....unlike my older kids who struggled without the benefit of the "Firstbike"
Highly recommend, and also happy with the addition of the brake...by the time he got to 3 he was getting a fair bit of speed up!
